Summary Dr Asim has said Issue of Surplus debt of Rs 300 billion in energy sector would be resolved soon.
Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural resources Dr Asim hussain has said that issue of Surplus debt of Rs 300 billion in the energy sector would be resolved soon.Addressing a press conference Dr Asim said that steps are being taken to control the energy deficiency and in this regard Pak-Iran gas pipeline project would be completed in 2013.He said that price fixation of gas which would be imported from Iran would be settled soon. Dr Asim further said that work on gas import from Turkmenistan is in progress.And this project would also be complete soon and after completion of this project country would benefit ten million dollars during next 25 years.Federal Minister said that due to less gas supply CNG station in Sindh would be closed for two days and gas supply to industries would be suspended for a day.Federal minister further said that gap between demand and supply is widening therefore government has decided to provide LPG gas to new residential areas and commercial buildings.He said that government is committed to provide gas to industrial sector on priority basis. He further told that a new project is also in progress and in this plan air would be mixed into LPG and 100 MMCFD gas would be supplied to KECSC to functional their new plant.
