Summary Students held a candle light vigil inside the church for the victims of Yohannabad incident

LAHORE (Dunya News) – To condemn terrorism and promote interfaith harmony, Students formed a human chain around Naulakha Presbyterian Church in Lahore during Sunday Mass.

The human chain was formed in response to the recent terrorist attacks on two churches and killing of two innocent people afterwards by the angry mob in Yohannabad last week in which 16 people died and more than 70 were injured.

The students held hands for two hours while holding up posters in solidarity with minorities and the victims of terrorism. The message of the human chain was to mourn the lives lost in last week’s attack and to say that the minorities in this city are not alone in this time of hardship and persecution.

In addition to the human chain, students held a candle light vigil inside the church for the victims of Yohannabad incident, including the two innocent people killed by mob violence. Students said that they strongly condemn the killings of innocent people.

The students wished to send out the message that religion does not matter when it comes to human life; we must take a united stand against terror.

Men and women in a large number participated in the peaceful demonstration that was organized by the Democratic Students’ Alliance (DSA).
