QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan Sports Festival kicked off in Quetta on Sunday to mark 76th Pakistan Day. The performance of artists won hearts of the participants, Dunya News reported.
Helicopters flew around waving Pakistan flags and spreading colours. The splendid parade started with national anthem at Quetta’s Ayub Stadium.
The school children won the hearts of participants with shows of aerobics and cultural dance.
The air show comprising F16s, helicopters and Mushaq jets and helicopters were highlights of the event.
Among other highlights of the event were a drill by military squad, cultural dances and local tunes, songs in Farsi, Pashto and Balochi and patriotic anthems depicted the land of multiple cultures.
The models of Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum, Quaid Residency, and Minar-e-Pakistan among others were also placed at the event.
A large number of citizens including women and children participated in the festival. The festival was also attended by Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Southern Commander Nasir Khan Janjua.
