Summary Khan has hundreds of millions of rupees in cash and that all this money is black money, says Rasheed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed on Friday has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan owns four palaces in the country but he pays only around Rs 1 lac tax.
He expressed these views in a press conference in Islamabad.
Pervaiz Rasheed alleged that Khan received more than Rs 8.5 million for his services in foreign countries, adding that Khan should clarify to whom he provided services and what kind of services.
He claimed that Khan has hundreds of millions of rupees in cash and that all this money is black money.
He said that the people want to know what exactly he did to earn this much money in a year. Khan showed in papers that he is in debt to wave off his agricultural tax and showed that his agricultural income is only Rs 2,350,000.
Rasheed also said that the Chinese president’s visit to Pakistan was cancelled because of Khan s sit-in politics. He has as many as four palaces in the country but pays only Rs 1 lac tax, he added.
The government revealed footage of PTI chairman Imran Khan’s lavish residencies including, Bani Gala "palace", a flat in Islamabad, a house at Zaman Park Lahore and his property in Khanewal and Bhakkar.
Rasheed further said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif was on exile before 2007, yet his sugar mills paid a tax of more than Rs 2 billion from 2005 to 2014. He also said that the PM paid around Rs 1,940,936 tax in 2014.
