Summary LHC dismisses the petition on a surety to maintain law and order in Islamabad.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A petition filed to stop Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI’s) November 30 public meeting has been dismissed on Friday by Lahore High Court (LHC) on a surety of maintaining law and order in Islamabad.
Petitioner has argued that November 30 rally of PTI would create anarchy and chaos in the city whereas prosecutor assured to take steps to ensure law and order.
They further affirmed that the rally would not violate the rights of citizens and that it would be a peaceful public meeting.
The court has also inquired from a lawyer of petitioner that if government is permitting to conduct public meeting then why petition has been filed in court?
On the other hand, full bench of court has allotted time to advocate A.K. Dogar to prepare more arguementation and has adjourned the hearing of Imran Khan’s treason case till Tuesday.
