Summary US President Barack Hussain Obama said that the suffering and bloodshed in Libya is outrageous and it is unacceptable. So are threats and orders to shoot peaceful protesters and further punish the people of Libya.
President Obama said that the actions violate international norms and every standard of common decency and this violence must stop. The US President said the entire international community is united in condemning the violence in Libya, and said that US is considering a variety of options to pressure the Libyan government. I have also asked my administration to prepare the full range of options that we have to respond to this crisis, Obama said. While the US President also said protecting Americans in Libya is his highest priority.
