Faisalabad: Workers protest against non-payment of salaries

The textile workers wearing garlands of dry breads took out a protest rally and staged sit-ins in front of factory owners’ houses.The protesters moved in different areas of the city and staged sit-ins on GTS Chowk and Civil Lines and blocked the road.The demonstrators said that their families were starving due to non-payment of salaries for the last three months.A heavy contingent of police surrounded the rally to avoid any untoward incident.The protesters staged sit-ins for hours near Iqbal Stadium in front of factory owners’ houses and demanded the payment of salaries.
