Summary MQM cheif Altaf Hussain said that 'divide and rule policy' of rulers have come to an end.

Addressing a public gathering in Sukkur, Muthidda Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain said that todays rally is a challenge for the people who want to make Pakistan their personal asset.Altaf said that todays rally is a referendum for those who have intentions to divide Sindh.He said that the MQM is real guarantor of progress and prosperity in Sindh.He said that if Sindhi people refuse to pay 70% of revenue, how it would be possible to run the country.He said that actual revolution is to change the status quo of feudal, looters and plunderers who have been exploited the wretched of earth for centuries in the name of so-called norms and values.He said that today’s public gathering is a referendum against hatching conspiracies for partition of Sindh. He said all the people belonging to any community should embrace each other to shun away antipathies.While referring to Quaid e Azam address after creation of Pakistan, Altaf said that everybody is free to follow his own religion in accordance with his norms and rituals.He said that outdated and degenerated rituals and customs like karo-kari and marriage with the Holy Quran should be exterminated on priority basis.The government should announce comprehensive water project for the people of Sukkur, he said.Apart from this, he said that separate colleges for boys and girls should be established in the city, adding that a special university should also be formed for higher education of local people.Highlighting railway system, he said that it should be renovated for better service.He said that special attention should be focussed on journalist community in the city and Sukkur Press Club should be granted Rs one million so that it may be consolidated.While expressing his condolence over killings of lawyers, he said that it is conspiracy to ignite clash between Shia and Sunnis.He appealed to the government to provide special protection to lawyers who fight for rule of law and establishment of justice.Criticising the PML-N, he said that public should be provided special protection from mafia which is selling fake and substandard medicines for their vested interests.Commenting law and order situation in Balochistan, he said that law and order should be restored in the war-torn areas of the province.Likewise, Fata people should be taken into confidence while taking decisions about their future, avoiding use of power.Referring a mystic Sufi Latif Bhatai, he said that success can be achieved only by dint of hardships.
