A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the petition regarding the expected removal of Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani and Director General Ahmed Shuja Pasha.Attorney General of Pakistan informed the apex court that the government had no intention to remove both the officials and the petition was not based on facts but speculations.The court observed that relations should be improve and ordered to submit the government’s stance in written form. The AG sought time to submit government’s assurance regarding the case.The court granted two weeks time to AG for submitting written reply and adjourned the case.
