Summary Defending dismissal of Defence Secretary by PM, Governor said what he probably would not repeat.

While addressing a press conference in Vehari, Punjab Governor Latif Khosa said the PM is not practising monarchic rule; when Hussain Haqqani was regarded dissatisfactory, he was dismissed from his office. Governor Punjab Latif Khosa said dismissal of Defence Secretary by PM is not unconstitutional. While commenting on memo writ petition, he said that if this petition had been filed by other person, the Supreme Court would have rejected it, imposing number of objections. In the aforesaid petition, the President, COAS and ISI DG could not be made parties, he said. The governor said that Nawaz Sharif is responsible for all disorder, adding that the PTI is booming due to his short-sightedness. Earlier, Khosa attended Qul of Azim Khan, former federal parliamentary secretary for defence and MNA, in Vehari.
