Summary LHC has suspended notification seeking computerization of arms licenses.
Arms dealers moved a writ petition in the court of Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan.Advocate Zafer Ali Raja on the part of arms dealers said that there is special law regarding arms license.And no new procedure could be introduced without bringing an amendment in the law, he said. He also argued no authority has power to cancel the license of anybody without any reason.The learned counsel further said that computerization of arms license without bringing an amendment in related law is absolutely illegal.After hearing arguments, the court suspended the notification. Further hearing would be held on January 27.
