Summary Major Muhammad Ayyub is arrested over alleged theft of a copper-filled train bogie.
According to the ISPR,stern action would be taken against him ifallegation levelled against the accused proved true.It is worth noticing that 4,000 KG copper worth Rs 2.4 million was loaded in the train on August 4 from Raiwind Station which was to be unloaded to a store in Mughalpura Lahore.The long vehicle stolen from the Lahore Railways Station was taken to Kharian.Railways police had registered a theft case on September 6 after which related police arrested Kharian station master Muhammad Zaman and goods booking clerk Muhammad Adnan who pinpointed the involvement of an officer of secret agency in the scam.
