Summary Secretary Ports said China left after making Gwadar port but NHA couldnt construct 65okm road.
Briefing the Public Accounts Committee, Yasmin Rehman said that the port is not operational only because the roads haven’t been laid.The NHA has demanded Rs 22 billion to construct roads. Only the government is using the port for its shipments, which is the costing the exchequer Rs 1800 a ton in subsidy.
