India spilled more than 70,000 cusecs of water into River Sutlej to the Pakistani side which mounted its water level to an alarming level and inundated dozens of villages in Kasur. The authorities concerned have formed flood camps in the endangered areas of Kasur.Currently, more than 48,000 cusecs of water is flowing in River Sutlej at Ganda Singhwala point and it is expected that an even larger water flow can hit the area.It is feared that the expected high flood of water can destroy the ready crops on a vast land comprising hundreds of hectares. The local flood affected villagers have alleged that they are receiving no emergency aid from the concerned authorities and they are left helpless in front of flood.
