Summary Only Rs 26 billion were spent out of Rs 115 billion allocated for development programmes in Sindh.
According to government’s statistics received by Dunya News, the Sindh government has decreased the grant from Rs 115 billion to Rs 77 billlion that was allocated for annual developmental programme.During the current fiscal year, the Sindh government earned Rs 248.60 billion, while its expenditures were Rs 256.20 billion. The Sindh government had to bear a deficit of Rs 7.60 billion during 10 months of current year.The federal government had to provide Rs 264 billion to Sindh but it gave Rs 210.50 billion. The centre deducted Rs 53 billion till April from the amount provided to the province.A meeting between the federation and the province has been called next week to tackle the current deficit and economic crisis.
