Summary At least sixty huts burnt as a sudden fire erupted in slum area of Khairpur.
The fire engulfed the huts near Faizabad railway crossing and spread across the area due to wind.No casualty was registered; however, the gypsies lost their household luggage and food stock. The affected people appealed the Sindh government to provide them financial support.It may be mentioned here that 250 huts had also been burnt 20 days ago in Khajoor Mandi area where the owners of the huts are still waiting for compensation.
