Summary Funds will be increased from Rs 17b to Rs 19b for small dams construction in coming budget, he says.
While briefing the meeting, Water and Power Ministry officials said that more than 1 million acre land would be irrigated from the construction of small dams and the dams would generate 122MW power. They said that $700 million would be borrowed from China to build small dams. Federal Finance Minister Hafeez Shaikh assured the meeting to increase the budget of small dams.
