Temperatures drop after rainfall in parts of country

In the past 24 hours, thunderstorm and strong were followed by light showers in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern Sindh, north eastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.According to the Meteorological Department of Pakistan, a fresh wave of rains has entered the country and showers in parts of the country are likely to continue over the next three days. Light hail storms are also expected in the mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Punjab. Experts predict heavy rain fall in a few catchment areas especially in occupied Kashmir which is why the situation in the rivers is expected to remain the same. The increase in water levels in Tarbela and Manga Dams is highly unlikely.
