Summary Zulqarnain called on the minister at his house in London to inform him about situation he had faced.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik assured Pakistani cricketer Zulqarnain Haider that a thorough investigation would be conducted of his case and complete protection would be given to him and his family in Pakistan. Talking to the media after the meeting, Malik said that Zulqarnain told him about the threats he had received and considering the sensitivity of this issue, a thorough investigation would be conducted into the matter. Zulqarnain said that if the government assures that he and his family would be safe in Pakistan, he was ready to go back.Zulqarnain had left Pakistan’s squad in Dubai during a series against South Africa and claimed that he and his family would be in danger, if he stays with the team.
