Pak-US intelligence operations remain suspended

Even a month after the release of Raymond Davis, the differences between Pakistan and the United States have not cleared as the intelligence operations between the two countries remain suspended. The Inter-Services Intelligence ISI has also ended all activates by American intelligence agencies in Pakistan.According to sources, a senior Pakistani intelligence official has said that the joint operations between the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and ISI were halted after the arrest of Raymond Davis and they remain suspended. Khalid Sheikh, master mind of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre was also arrested as a result of these joint operations. According to an official of the ISI, the ISI has started strict supervision of all the American spies in the country due to which most of the CIA spies have left the country. Official spokesperson of the CIA George little, has said that relation between the CIA and ISI are stronger than ever and the small differences that arise are solved by mutual consultation.The number of drone attacks has also decreased significantly. The United States conducted nine attacks in the month of March whereas 22 attacks were carried out in September 2010. According to sources, the United States is also facing difficulty in Afghanistan due to the suspension of joint operations.
