Summary Foreign Office says that Pakistanis living in Japan are safe according to the latest information.
Foreign Office spokesperson Tehmina Janjua told Dunya News that from 8,000 to 9,000 Pakistanis were living in Japan. She said that no Pakistani was killed, injured or missing in the earthquake and tsunami.The spokesperson said that 200 to 300 Pakistanis were living in quake-hit and tsunami-affected areas. Tokyo officials and the Pakistan Embassy have directed Pakistanis not to come out of their houses.
