Summary Alleged negligence on part of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital administration resulted into tragic accident
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A highly disturbing accident took place in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital of Lahore on Monday in which a newborn baby received injuries of burn from heater.
The incident took place in Nursing Ward where the infant s arm had burnt due to heater. The doctors gave initial medical aid to the child and later informed the parents that they will have to cut the arm to save newborn’s life.
Parents accused doctors of alleged negligence and protested outside the hospital. Moreover, the parents claimed that the infant child received burn injuries due to ignorance of the administration.
Parents of the newborn have filed an application for case against hospital staff at Ganga Ram Police post. They have pleaded for action against the doctors and admin staff.
While the protest was being carried out, the hospital’s DMC and his staff had left the room.
