Summary After Dunya News raised matter, PTI filed motion in Punjab Assembly
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) raises the matter of dual standards between development in Lahore and the rest of Punjab after Dunya News raised the issue in successive reports.
PTI has filed a motion in Punjab Assembly on Monday for the respective reason and decided to protest within the provincial parliament. The motion filed by PTI’s Nabeela Hakim Ali says that the rulers are maintaining a double standard for the development in Lahore and the rest of Punjab.
It was found that there was a huge different between the budget allocation for Lahore and Punjab.
Furthermore, the motion also states that work of development schemes in other districts of Punjab except Lahore were stopped. There is a lack of educational and health facilities in the rest of Punjab.
PTI’s motion highlights inequality of Punjab government for North and South Punjab which makes it implies that rulers are only concentrating on Lahore.
