PESHAWAR: (Daily Dunya) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) jails are under serious threat from the terrorists and jailbreaks from within and outside the jail are feared. Suicide attacks can’t be discounted either, reported Daily Dunya.
KP police, Jails department, NACTA and security agencies have warned against terrorist attacks on jails and jailbreak attempts from some prisoners. There are also threats of the dangerous prisoners taking other prisoners hostage.
According to details, it was told during a meeting of jails department and home department officials that some prisoners could attempt a jailbreak. Moreover, external assistance was also feared.
Moreover, some prisoners might try to flee the jail taking other prisoners hostage. Meanwhile, explosives could also be used from within or outside the jail.
