WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – US State Department Deputy Spokesperson, Mark Toner, while briefing the newsmen in Washington on Tuesday said that the dialogue between Pakistan and India not only good for the both countries but also beneficial for region, Dunya News reported.

US would encourage greater dialogue and counterterrorism cooperation between both Pakistan and India, Mark Toner said. “We’ve said that many times. It’s for the good of both countries; it’s for the good of the region. Frankly, it’s for the benefit of the United States,” he said.

Mark Toner further said that it is important that Pakistan do the utmost to prevent terrorists from carrying out acts of terror – not just in Pakistan, but elsewhere in the region. So it is important that there’s greater collaboration, greater dialogue. And we would encourage any effort in that regard.
