Summary Federal minister says CPEC will make up for the injustices that Balochistan has been subject to
QUETTA: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal has on Tuesday said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will open new roads to progress in Balochistan, reported Dunya News.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of academic block in Balochistan University, Ahsan Iqbal told the students that the CPEC will help make up for the injustices that Balochistan has always been subject to. He added that the construction of the western route of CPEC and Balochistan-Peshawar train service will change the lives of Baloch people.
Ahsan Iqbal added that the injustices with Balochistan were national crimes and that this project will open new roads to progress for the province.
However, Balochistan students expressed their concerns, saying that the claims of progress in Balochistan are pointless because the real development demanded practical steps.
Despite the concerns, the economic experts believe that CPEC project would not only help Balochistan but would prove a game-changer for the entire province.
