ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday has expressed resentment over constructing cinema on the land of Islamic center in Karachi.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the suo moto case in which, Justice Azmat Saeed expressed anger over establishing cinema house on the land reserved for Islamic center and taunted Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
The CJ asked that why the authorities are not taking any action in this regard.
Sindh government told the court that Islamic center is under KMC’s ownership and according to an agreement, the land has been given to a drama company on lease.
Subsequently, the court has adjourned the case till next week.
