Summary Inspector General (IG) had vowed to set an example out of the incident
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former chairman Senate Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and his son have been granted protective bails by a court in a case regarding thrashing a policeman on duty, Dunya News reported Friday.
Bukhari was reportedly advised by two key government members to acquire pre-arrest bail after a case was lodged against him for thrashing a policeman in F-8 court. Bukhari had claimed to not have manhandled the man but CCTV footage disproved the claim.

Footage showed Bukhari shoving the security person while his son then slapped him. The victimized policeman had attempted to search Bukhari as part of standard procedure to which the influential person took offence.
Sources revealed on Thursday that two key members of the government contacted the former chairman of Senate. Arrest warrant of the ex-chairman was also issued yesterday.
