LAHORE (Dunya News) – One man got killed while three got severely injured on Tuesday in Garden Town area of Lahore as shed of an under construction house fell. Injured have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital Lahore, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, a shed fell from second floor of an under construction house in Ahmed Block area of Garden Town. The debris of the shed injured Kazim, Sadiq, Shafiq and Muhammad Yar severely. Rescue teams and police reached the scene of mishap right after getting informed and shifted the injured men to Jinnah Hospital where Kazim could not sustain the injuries and died. Police said that the incident is being investigated and if any proof of poor material use will be found then police will take legal action against the responsible.

Rescue operation underway at the factory collapse site in Sundar Industrial Estate, Lahore concluded early morning Tuesday after a total of 131 hours of rescue efforts. Talking to the media, District City Officer (DCO) Capt. Usman stated that Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has formed an investigative committee into the matter to apprehend the culprits involved in the tragic incident.

Speaking at the accident site, Capt. Usman informed that a total of 2079 rescue workers participated in the difficult and over-whelming rescue operation of the accident while a total of 309 vehicles were utilized during the rubble clearance operation.
