ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) delegation met with Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday. MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that the raid on Nine-Zero had negatively affected party s reputation, Dunya News reported.

The MQM delegation met with PM where it expressed its reservations regarding different issues.

Talking to the media after the meeting, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that his party will not impediment the ongoing operation by security forces.

He said that MQM had always cooperated with security agencies in the past and would continue to do so in the future as well.

Farooq Sattar said that during the ongoing operation, 200 workers of MQM had been killed in incidents of target-killing while in the past 7 years, the toll had amounted to 1200 causalities for the party, commenting that protest on extrajudicial killings was MQM’s right.

The MQM leader told the media that the party is being portrayed in a bad light and as a facilitator of criminals. He denounced MQM’s ongoing ‘media trial’.

Farooq Sattar further added that Altaf Hussain’s ‘lifework was on the line’ and the PM should compensate the damage done to party s reputation.
