Summary PTI will take to streets again if govt 'backs off' now over formation of judicial commission

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that he hasn’t heard the audiotape being surfaced of him and Arif Alvi, saying that it is illegal to record anyone’s conversation.

Imran Khan claimed that the government has now asked us to change Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on formation of judicial commission, adding that his party will be on roads again if the government backs off now.

“What fear do you have if you didn’t commit election fraud”, he asked.

Commenting on the leaked audiotape, Khan said he doesn’t know anything of any tape, adding that it is illegal to record anyone’s conversation.

“I can leak the tape of Nawaz Sharif singing, is that a big deal”, he asked.

“I can tell you what I would not have said. I wouldn’t have said to kill someone, extort and then bring me the money to London.”

PTI chairman strongly condemned the government’s involvement in Yemen crisis, saying that being a party to the conflict will drag Pakistan further into warfare.

“Saudi Arabia is a close ally while Iran is a neighbor. We should have attempted to bring the two closer instead of being a party and picking sides”, he said.

“Has the government taken permission from the parliament before announcing to become party to a fresh military conflict?”
