Summary Karachi ATC handed 8 suspects arrested from Nine-Zero to police on 14-day physical remand
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Eight suspects arrested from Nine-Zero have on Tuesday been handed over to the police on physical remand for 14 days. The accused were handed over to the police by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Karachi.
According to the details, the suspects were presented before the ATC. All the suspects were blindfolded while some of them were handcuffed as well.
Cases have been registered against these suspects for keeping unlicensed weapons, explosive material and under Anti-Terror Act. Aamir Ali and Haseeb are accused of torching property and aerial firing on May 12, 2007. The court handed over Aamir Ali, Nouman and Faizan to Bilal Colony police on 14-day remand. Syed Asif Ali and Abdul Hafeez have been handed over to Liaquatabad police; Ubaid K-2 and Abdul Qadir to Rizviya police while Aamir has been handed over to Taimooria police on 14-day remand.
According to investigative officer, police demanded physical remand of Ubaid K-2, Abdul Qadir, Aamir Ali and Nouman in new cases. He said that rocket-launchers had been found on the information provided by these suspects.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rangers officials had raided Nine-Zero and Khurshid Begum Secretariat on March 11 and several were arrested along with some convicts. Unlicensed weapon was also found during the raid.
