Summary Sunni Ittehad Council protesters forcefully tried to close shops in Faisalabad.

FAISALABAD (Web Desk) – Workers of Sunni Ittehad Council held protest demonstrations against arrest of party workers and clerics under the Amplifier Act in Faisalabad today (Tuesday) and tried to forcefully shut shops in eight bazaars around Chowk Ghanta Ghar, Dunya News reported.

Situation turned violent when traders fought back and resisted forceful shutdown.



Protestors vandalized several shops whereas some shop owners used knives to keep the protestors at bay.



It may be mentioned here that more than two thousand people were arrested for misuse of loudspeakers during a recent crackdown across the country as part of the National Action Plan.
