Summary Hussain was to be hanged on March 19 in a case of seven-year-old's kidnap and murder
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The jail authorities on Tuesday have informed the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) about the government’s instructions to halt death row convict Shafqat Hussain’s execution until at least 30 days.
Earlier, Hussain was to be hanged on March 19 in a case of seven-year-old’s kidnap and murder. However, in light of controversial age, Hussain’s execution was halted for as many as 72 hours.
Later on, the government postponed the punishment by at least 30 days as the 72-hour deadline expired today.
