ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan desires to enhance cooperation with Qatar in all fields, particularly energy, defence and manpower.
He said this while talking to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani at the PM House in Islamabad.
Stressing the need to promote bilateral trade, the Prime Minister said our bilateral trade of less than 300 million dollars per annum is much below its potential.
He invited Qatari investment in Pakistan in all areas, including energy and infrastructure.
The Qatari side expressed interest in enhancing the number of Pakistanis working in Qatar for various development projects.
Both sides agreed to take measures to enhance trade and strengthen cooperation in the field of defence as well.
Later, Pakistan and Qatar signed agreements to further deepen their cooperation in the fields of education, scientific research, media, culture, youth and sports.
The agreements were signed following the delegation level talks between the two countries.

On the other hand, General Rashad Mahmood, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee also held a meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and discussed regional security situation and matters related to mutual cooperation.

Both the dignitaries agreed to enhance cooperation and interaction between the Armed Forces of two countries.
