ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan took oath as Chief Justice (CJ) of Federal Shariat Court (FSC) today (Saturday) in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk administered the oath to the new CJ of FSC in Supreme Court (SC) building.
The oath taking ceremony was attended by judges of Supreme Court (SC), registrar SC, Attorney General and senior lawyers.
Earlier, parliamentary committee approved the induction of Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan as Chief Justice FSC on the recommendation of National Judicial Commission whereas President Mamnoon Hussian also approved the appointment.
