ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) — Members of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Friday demanded that the presidential decree regarding Senate elections be withdrawn immediately. The members demanded that the elections should be held in FATA immediately after the withdrawal of the decree.

6 members of the FATA Assembly led by Ghazi Ghulab Jamal met with Pakistan Muslim League’s (PML-N) leader Captain Safdar and Ameer Mukam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) house in Islamabad. The members discussed about presidential ordinance in the meeting. They questioned that why the govermnet issued a presidential decree on the night of the election. They also questioned why they were not taken into confidence before issuing the decree.

Registering a protest in KP house, the members said that the government had made the Senate elections controversial by issuing the decree.
