Summary Police arrested two suspects and seized explosives from their vehicle.
RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – A vehicle loaded with 75 kilograms of explosives was seized by police near GT Road in Taxila today (Friday), Dunya News reported.
According to police, explosives, more than hundred detonators and different wires were recovered from the Suzuki Bolan that was coming from Peshawar. The vehicle was reportedly travelling towards Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, two arrested suspects were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
On the other hand, a suspect identified as Dhani Bakhsh was arrested from Khyber Mail Train with two pistols, three AK rifles and more than 100 bullets.
His another accomplice Gul Bahadur managed to escape at Rawalpindi station.
Earlier on Tuesday, a suicide bomber blew himself up near Wah Garden police check post after an unsuccessful attempt to escape police after the cops stopped a bus coming from Peshawar for random check.
The suicide bomber, said to be a young man in his early twenties, was reportedly aboard a bus coming from Peshawar to Rawalpindi.
The bomber initially hurled a couple of hand grenades towards the cops chasing him but later detonated himself in the farms near the area.
Pakistani authorities have stepped up anti-terrorism efforts following Taliban attack on Army Public School in Peshawar that claimed more than 140 lives, most of them student.
