ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The funeral of late Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz on Friday has been offered. Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif participated in the funeral along with dignitories from around the world.
The funeral was offered after Asr prayer at Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz mosque in Riyadh.
“We are saddened and shocked to learn of the passing away of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. The people of Pakistan share the grief of the bereaved family and brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and wish to offer heartfelt condolences on this sad occasion. King Abdullah was a great friend of Pakistan,” the Prime Minister said in a statement.
The PM also announced mourning for one day during which the flag will fly at half-mast. CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif accompanied PM Nawaz to attend the funeral.
