KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Friday criticized the provincial government stating that they support Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s stance over imposing martial law adding that this so-called democracy must be replaced by a new system.

Talking to the media, Liaquat Jatoi accused Sindh government of breaking all records of corruption alleging Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) of corruption worth Rs 900 billion in a span of six years.

He said PPP itself was trying to ease way for a martial law administration.

Responding to the allegations, Minister Information Sindh Sharjeel Memon said Arbab Rahim released 45 target killers on parole and helped them abscond from the country and that a lot of tragedies occurred in the province during his tenure.

He termed Arbab Rahim and Liaquat Jatoi as a product of martial law and their philosophy as nondemocratic.
