JUI-F announces three-day mourning over Sindh secretary general's murder

Summary Protesting against the killing of Khalid Soomro, the JUIF workers took to streets in large number.

SUKKUR (Dunya News) — Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) announced three days of mourning over the killing of Sindh’s secretary general Khalid Mahmood Soomro on Saturday. As a result, business centers have been shut down in parts of Sindh.

Protesting against the killing of Dr Khalid Soomro, the JUIF workers took to streets in large numbers. The workers have also closed down the commercial activities.

Petrol pumps, CNG stations, trade centers, shops and hotels in the city of Sukkur have been shut down in response to the mourning.

The furious activists of JUIF protested in the streets blocking the traffic for several hours. A shutter down strike has been called in Mithi and Umerkot whereas the tragic murder incident has drawn throngs of people to the streets in Kandhkot.

JUIF’s chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has appealed the party workers to remain calm.
