Summary Shooting was carried out by three unidentified persons whereas investigation is underway.

SUKKUR (Dunya News) – Sindh General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and former senator Dr. Khalid Mahmood Soomro on Saturday gunned down by a firing of unidentified persons. He was waiting for Fajar prayers at a mosque of Khosa Goth in Sukkur when the incident occurred.

According to details, three unidentified armed men stepped in the mosque among which one man was hiding his face and was talking in Balochi.

Former senator Dr. Khalid Mahmood Soomro was waiting for Fajar prayers when gunmen opened fire whereas criminals managed to flee from the scene.

Police rushed to the scene and gathered three gun shots, 30 bore gun shots and 11 shots of Kalashnikov.

JUI-F leaders reached the hospital and staged a protest against the performance of police and administration.

Further, body of deceased has been deported to Larkana where his burial will take place at his native village Aakil.

According to sources, the preparations of Nikkah ceremony of Dr. Khalid’s son were underway which was going to be held today.

Moreover, dozens of people have started visiting victim’s family for condolence.
