Summary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will have to end rally by 12:00am, the Interior Minister said.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Friday said the government has given go ahead to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold rally at Jinnah Avenue in the federal capital on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the Interior Minister said that after signing of an agreement between Islamabad administration and PTI, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is being issued to the party for November 30 rally.
He said that a special stage for the public meeting would be prepared at Parade Ground facing the Jinnah Avenue.
The Minister stated that it would be the responsibility of the organisers to ensure that the participants do not move beyond the venue.
No violation or attempt to enter the sensitive red zone would be tolerated, he added.
He said the police, FC and Rangers would be outside the venue of the rally while security inside the venue would be the responsibility of the organisers.
The rally organisers would be responsible if any damage is caused to the public property, Ch Nisar said.
He further said that there are severe security concerns on November 30 but the law enforcement agencies would ensure protection of the state institutions.
