Summary PPP would take side if the commission wants it to intervene the matter of rigging, says Malik
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former interior minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday has said that members of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) must be included in the Judicial Commission which is established to probe the matter of rigging in the General Elections 2013.
He expressed these views in a press conference at his house in Karachi.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the government must display seriousness and that the clash between the two on November 30 would disrupt democracy in the country.
He also said that the establishment of the Judicial Commission should not be delayed and that the government could also form a commission on its own.
Malik said that if the commission called Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) then it would also take a side in the matter.
Malik urged Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to raise the issues of Kashmir and Daash in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
He also said that the matters between Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and PPP are not critical enough for him to comment on.
He further said that it is MQM’s own decision to sit in the opposition.
