ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad’s session court on Monday dismissed a second petition seeking registration of FIR against 15 accused in Lal Masjid operation case including former president Pervez Musharraf, Dunya News reported.

The court ordered the petitioner to record statement by becoming a party to the existing case.

According to the details, Islamabad’s Additional Session Judge Sikandar Awan read the verdict over petition filed by Shuhada Foundation.

The petition had sought registration of FIR against at least 15 accused including Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

The court said in its verdict that the petitioner should become a party to existing case and record their statement instead of lodging a fresh case.

As per the court’s decision, the petitioner can re-nominate Musharraf among other accused in their statement.
