Summary Meeting with provincial ministers to solve electricity and water crisis

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan said ‎that local body elections should be held as early as possible and local governments should be ‎established.‎
During a parliamentary session presided by Sardar Ahmed, the members of Sindh assembly discussed ‎the problems of the Sindhi population.‎
Deputy Parliamentary leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan said that MQM will raise issues of water and ‎electricity shortage in the coming session including other important issues, and will meet with the ‎related ministers for this purpose.‎
Hassan said that there should be new local elections immediately as it a requirement for efficient ‎administration of the province.‎
At this occasion, Provincial Minister Nisar said that admissions into government colleges should be ‎based on merit so that no student is deprived of his rightful place. ‎
MQM leaders were of the opinion that if meeting with provincial ministers did not bear any fruit then ‎they would meet with Chief Minister Sindh.‎
