Summary ATC Judge Attiqur Rehman resumed the case hearing.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday expressed resentment over the absence of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf in judges detention case.
ATC Judge Attiqur Rehman resumed the case hearing.
During case proceedings, Judge Attiqur Rehman asked why Musharraf did not appear before court despite court orders.
Musharraf’s lawyer Safdar Javed told court that his client is not feeling well and he also has some security concerns.
The court stated that police have assured full security to Musharraf but still he failed to appear.
Safdar Javed told court that according to Balochistan High Court’s decision, the accused can be given exemption from appearance once he/she is indicted.
Meanwhile, the court barred journalists’ entry in courtroom and directed the security officials not to let any journalist in during hearing of the case.
On the other hand, Secretariat Police Station refused to provide security to Prosecutor Amir Nadeem Tabish, claiming that there is no fuel in the vehicles.
