Summary Man, wife and brother-in-law were killed in the name of honour by own brothers.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – At least three persons including a married couple were killed in the name of honour here on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to Umar Khan, resident of Mathra area of Peshawar, his son Muntazir Khan, daughter-in-law Afshan and her brother Fatah Mohammad were shot dead by two other sons identified as Falak Niaz and Altaf.
Following Umar’s report, police have arrested Altaf and raiding for the arrest of Falak Niaz.
‘Honour killing’ or killing in the name of honour is outlawed in Pakistan but the number of reported cases involving honour killing is growing.
According to Aurat Foundation’s statistics, 432 women were reportedly killed in the name of honour in Pakistan in 2012, 705 in 2011, 557 in 2010, 604 in 2009 and 475 in 2008.
