SHAWWAL, WAZIRISTAN (Dunya News) – Air strikes by Pakistan Army at militant hideouts in various areas of South and North Waziristan on Tuesday morning killed at least 30 militants, Dunya News reported.
According to reports, the areas hit by bombardment include Paray Ghul area of South Waziristan and Shiktoi area situated at the center of South and North Waziristan where a number of hideouts were reportedly destroyed.
Reportedly, the bombardment took place at 4 early morning and at least 30 militants have been taken out as per latest confirmations.
Meanwhile, relocation by a large number of locals continues with many migrating to Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Lucky Marwat and Peshawar.
According to reports, no temporary accommodation arrangements on the government level to facilitate migrants have been made.
Peace talks between the Taliban and the government, announced on January 29, stalled last week due to a recent surge in insurgent attacks and subsequent claims by a Taliban including a faction claiming that it had killed 23 kidnapped soldiers.
