PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Police discovered a hand grenade during a search operation in the surroundings of Iranian Consulate early morning on Tuesday and was successfully foiled by bomb disposal squad, Dunya News reported.
According to reports, police has started clearing the debris from Monday’s suicide attack that had killed three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel. The search operation is continued as police fear more explosives in the surrounding area.
Safout Gayyur Road near the consulate has also been temporarily closed for public traffic.
A suicide attack at the Iranian Consulate had killed at least three FC personnel while injuring nineteen on Monday. According to initial investigations, there was more than one attacker and a vehicle full of explosives from the attack site was also foiled.
